about me
Hello everyone!
I’m Ion Radu, I’ve been working in the field of banking compliance since 1999, when the first AML law was enacted in Romania.
I created this blog to share information, my thoughts, experiences and insights about KYC/AML/Sanctions.
At the same time, I aimed to gather here all the information necessary to keep up to date with legislation, guidelines, trends and emerging risks and as well as the information needed to carry out regular assessments (annual or upon significant changes-EWRA) required by the EBA guidelines (EBA/GL/2021/02 – ML/TF risk, EBA/GL/2024/14 & EBA/GL/2024/15 – National and Union restrictive measures).
In the “Training” section you can find the courses I teach, organized by the professional training bodies authorized by supervisory authorities FSA and NBR.
I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it!
